May I share?

Post by yoyoyomonica » Sat Feb 23, 2013 6:56 pm

Am I allowed to come out of my corner?

I got a bigger mask. The DME saw my sore and said it was way to small for me. I am almost a in between er. I was sleeping good with the old mask even tho it hurt but this one is sooo much better. A friend of mine is going to let me try a new nasal mask.

I appreciate all of the support and advice I have received from quite a few of you. It has really helped educate me how to be proactive with this whole process. I have learned alot.

And I have been on cpap for 24 days now. Only missed one day. I think I am doing pretty good. Contrary to popular belief. I am being compliant. (my DME says) All of my numbers are great. well within normal ranges. NO red flags. he is very happy with my report.

Yo, Monica! You never deserved to be in the corner in the first place but I'm happy to see you back too. Sometimes newbies don't come back after getting hit by the welcome wagon so kudos to you for not giving up. And congrats on those good numbers. Carry on!

Glad to hear that. That's an example of why the proper mask and proper fit are so important to having success with this therapy.

Hang in there and best wishes with your therapy.

Hi Monica,
Great to see you back! And really happy to hear you're doing better with the new mask. I had a feeling that'd be the case!

Yes! By all means get out of the corner and jump into the mix...

Glad to hear that things are improving.

Once you find a comfortable mask the rest is very manageable.

That is great that your mask is working... it is funny how mask manufacturers never seem to come up with the 1/2 size idea, guess we all are supposed to have the same size faces.

Glad to see you back and doing better with treatment. I will be looking forward to seeing how your other issues improve after being on cpap for a while.
