sleeyhead program

Post by bphrom » Tue Feb 19, 2013 10:14 am

I try sleepyhead software ( 8... version) but for some how I didn't see those graphs at all except only a pie chart on the left hand side.
What I did wrong? Please help..

HI... I'm not entirely sure if it's a software problem. Please check if your Elite is set to record full data- there's a setting in there that, if it's not set to record full data, it will give you almost nothing of value (summary data). I don't recall at the moment where in the menus it is... do yo uhave a clinician's manual for the machine?
I'm sure others will pop in that can be more specific. earl

all data were downloaded and collected and It worked fine with Rescan software but not with Sleepyhead.
My comp. was running OS 64 bits window 7. Sleepyhead is on 32 bits version any interfering with 64 bits machine?

The S9 has to have SleepQuality set to the "On" setting to get the graphs on the right. The default setting from the factory is "usage"
You have to go into the clinical setup menu to change SleepQuality setting.
SleepyHead needs the graph detailed data to complete the data shown on the left side of the daily reports.

Also please check your SleepyHead version....it Should be 0.9.xxx...Beta. That's the latest.
There is one update and if you are using Vista or Windows OS you need to either install that version with "run as administrator" command line or open SleepyHead under that command line to have the update install.
If you don't...you will get a failed update message.

Do you have the detailed graphs in ResScan or just the summary statistics which makes it look like you have all the data?
You need to go to the detailed report tab.

No it doesn't matter about the 32 bit or 64 bit thing with SleepyHead. It installs and runs easily on both. I have Win 7 64 bit on this computer and it works fine.

So confirm that the S9 is set to Sleep Quality to "On"....if it is set to usage you won't have the graphs in ResScan..you will only have a statistics page that looks like you have all the data but don't.

And get the latest version of SleepyHead instead of the older 8 version.

Yes, Pugsy sleep quality was set on "usage." I change to "on" now. Will see tomorrow. I downloaded the most recent version of Sleepyhead Ver..9
If I like to use Rescan software. Do I need to switch "sleep quality " back to usage again?

Thank you Pugsy...

No, don't do that...you won't have the graphs (which I bet you didn't even know about)
Have you seen the video on ResScan? If not, watch it and you will see what I mean.
http://montfordhouse.com/cpap/resscan_tutorial/
Don't forget to change the download in ResScan to all data including the hi definition data if you haven't done that already.
The video explains all that stuff.

You've been missing stuff in ResScan because the machine was only writing limited data to the SD card with the "usage" setting.

A quick question, which one works better Encore basic or sleeyhead program. With PR 1.

In terms of speed...SleepyHead wins hands down. In terms of easy to use...SleepyHead wins hands down.

In terms of data...it's a toss up really...SleepyHead will give you some graphs that Basic won't but they really aren't critical anyway.
Visually the data is presented differently.

Basic will flag a large leak...SleeyHead doesn't. Leaks have to be pretty big to get a flag though...so unless someone is consistently running the leak up around 70 L/min it isn't critical to see the large leak flag.

You can alter and make changes to the way SleepyHead presents the data...zoom in on specific events. Do more fun things.
With Encore...what you see is what you get and you can't interact with it.

I use both. The simple daily report where I can quickly see all the important stuff in Basic is kinda nice.
