Is anyone using the Dream Weaver? Leak control problems?

It's called the SleepWeaver and there are more than one model SleepWeaver mask. Might change your subject line to SleepWeaver.
You can check each one for reviews.

Leak control can be a problem with the cloth mask but seems like the newer models the complaints are less.

The manufacturer offers free return insurance if you can't make it work.
So if you buy it and return it within 30 days you can get your money back.

Re: Sleepweaver Advanced

Post by Debijo » Thu Feb 07, 2013 12:46 pm

I have used my Sleepweaver Advanced for 2 nights. We are falling in love....not there yet, but working on it! The first night I was ready to dump it by 2am....but I watched the videos again, went back to my favorite pillow last night, and we had a pretty good night. When I detect a leak, I pull down on around the inlet pipe, up a bit on the strap above the nose, and then just a bit side to side and I am good for awhile longer. Most of the times I adjusted, pulling down on inlet pipe fixed it.

I had 2 queen sized memory foam pillows, and when using my Mirage FX ended up cutting one of them in half a couple of weeks ago, then making the cutouts for the hose. That is what I used the first night of the sleepweaver. Last night I went back to the full sized pillow and just laid in the middle of it like I normally would have, not worrying about hanging the mask and hose off of the side of the pillow. It was great for the most part.

I HAVE to make this mask work for me as I have developed an silicone sensitivity and every day that I used my Mirage fx my face began to swell a bit more and skin got redder. Never a rash, but it would be soon I am sure. I am allergic to gold among many other things, so I am used to the allergy thing, but my DME only stocks the Sleepweaver and ProfileLite that are silicone free, and putting on the ProfileLite just felt like 100 pounds on my face, but that was after a bad night with the Mirage FX.

Anyhow, to make a long story short, I have the Sleepweaver Advanced and really like it so far!

Hope this helps,

Debi

I've used the SleepWeaver Advanced since I started, almost 2 months. I tend to bury my face in my pillow, and the cloth bends and doesn't push out of position when I'm sleeping, and my face is very sensitive as well. I LOVE my mask. Like the other post says, be sure to watch their videos on line or on the DVD that they give you with the new masks. I did try some of the other masks and nothing was as comfortable as this is. I even got a 2nd one so I could wash one and use one. Love that you can throw it in the washing machine.

I use the Sleepweaver elan in the new small size. I love it because it's soft and I can bury my head into my pillow and it still works perfectly. It does take some occasional adjusting. I am having much better luck with the small size than the regular I started out using. I don't throw mine in the washer, I rinse it out in the sink with a drop of Tide free liquid detergent and let it dry.
I also have used a night guard for twelve years.

Please People....The question was about the Dream Weaver CPAP mask, NOT the Sleep Weaver. They are completely different.
