brand new Transcend II Travel CPAP Machine for sale

Post by tony5683 » Tue Feb 05, 2013 12:57 pm

I am traveling overseas at the end of the month so I purchased a Transcend II Travel CPAP Machine last week. It arrived yesterday (2/4/13). I used it last night and it will not work for me. I have put the machine back in the box it came in with all the parts and plastic wrapping. I am happy to share my invoice to show my purchase date. It has only used the one night and I will not use it again. Actually, it was only used several hours because around 3 am I switched back to my home unit. If anyone is interested in purchasing it, please let me know. I paid $449 for the machine.

Hi Tony, I have interest in your Transcend II Unit if its still available. Im heading out of the country for a few days and don't want to lug my home unit with me. Thanks in advance for the response.

I am curious about your machine. What did you dislike about it? In August I am going to walk El Camino de Santiago and hope the Transcend II with a solar charger might work. I will be staying in hostels with no guarantee of access to a power outlet.

Others with advice about this?

Thanks!

1) Do you still have this machine for sale?
2) Why will it "not work for you" ? Is is faulty or not as advertized?

Like others, I'd like to know more about your experience - why is it you feel it didn't work for you. I'm going to Scotland and ireland next spring and while I have a Resmed S9 at home and use a F&P Icon for travel, I am seriously considering the purchase of the Transcend II to travel as lightly as possible. So why did it not work(?), and I guess I'm in the que as a potential buyer if those before me opt out.

Transcend does not have exhale relief (EPR, "_flex")
It also does not have conventional humidification--
(a peculiar system I don't understand, requiring frequent replacement of a special "filter")
The battery pack is proprietary, and I do not know if there are alternatives.
I bought an Intellipap Autoadjust (made in USA) which feels enough like my regular machine,
I can use it for a week or so without bad effects.
AC power is much more flexible, as well. I considered building a Li-Po pack with supplies from Hobby King,
but our sponsor's bundle discount was too good to pass up.
