My wife was recently diagnosed with OSA and the DME people came out today with her machine.
It is a ResMed S9 Elite.
Just wondering if this is highly rated? Haven't been here for awhile and I know there is tons of posts on machines, and when I get some more time, I will research back -- but I wanted a quick answer, because I know there are cautions against certain ResMeds.
new machine for my wife
Re: new machine for my wife
Quick answer -- yes the ResMed S9 Elite is a good machine. The ones you don't want are the ones that do not record and provide treatment efficacy information. The Elite does.

Re: new machine for my wife
The general consensus seems to be that it is a good, straight cpap machine with efficacy data. I have a s9 Elite and am happy with it. Most of the more experiences people seem to prefer the S9 Autoset because it can be used as a cpap or apap.

Stay away from the bottom 2.
Re: new machine for my wife
Thanks -- I couldn't remember the differences, but I am relieved now. I don't have to call the DME back!
Re: new machine for my wife
You didn't get a S9 escape, you got the Elite which I believe will serve her needs just fine. If that machine turns out not to work for her the doc can always write for a bilevel or auto.
Good luck,
Mary
