Social Security in Japan

Post by StuUnderPressure » Wed Jan 23, 2013 2:00 pm

TOKYO - At a government panel to discuss social security reforms,Taro Aso, the former prime minister, called the elderly who are unable to feed themselves "tube people," then proceeded to say the elderly should be allowed to "hurry up and die" to reduce the burden on a country tasked to pay for their medical expenses.

Venerate your elders--until it gets too expensive, inconvenient, messy, etc.
It was too good to last; welcome to the rest of the planet!

Uhhh ... so what's the point of your quote?
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

We (on this site) are ALL "tube people". Our tubes are simply air tubes. I hope Obama doesn't sentence us all to euthanasia, to "decrease the surplus population"! DEAN

Huh?

I must have missed the part where Obama became the prime minister of Japan. For some reason I thought he was inaugurated to the POTUS. I must have got faked out like I did with the national anthem.

Nope. Just applying what's happening in Japan to what COULD happen in the good old USA. I don't mean to offend. DEAN

I was not offended -- at all. I was in fact being facetious.

What is happening in Japan is that their currency is in free fall. In fact, there is a world-wide currency war happening right now and all currencies are in free fall as a result. What that means for most everyone in a country with declining currency values is that their lifestyle cannot be sustained and won't be.

The vast majority of people simply have no clue how the monetary systems of the world work or the fact that all fiat currency based monetary systems have built into them a flaw that eventually results in a collapse and death of that currency. We happen to be living at a time when the global economy is so connected that all the currencies are collapsing simultaneously. People try to blame economic problems on the GOP or the DEMs or conservatives or liberals or socialists or capitalists or what ever their opposing team is on. Those are all non-issues that have nothing to do with the world's flawed monetary systems, which by the way, enables a fraudulent financial system for the 1% at the top to control the transfer and flow of wealth from the bottom up.

I think the chic financial term for this fraud is called "austerity". Mr. Aso just defined it a bit more cudely and bluntly ... "hurry up and die".

"Our society must make it right and possible for old people not to fear the young or be deserted by them, for the test of a civilization is the way that it cares for its helpless members".

I did try to find some equivalent republican sentiment, the closest I could find was Romney's " at least 53% of you aren't total moochers "

Oh well I guess that is on par with American politicians saying a woman who is raped can't get pregnant.

Wow, Great quotes ... and great reminders of what civil societies should value. God bless. DEAN
