Hose comes off @ night ?

Post by Posey » Wed Jan 16, 2013 3:16 pm

I am using the climateline hose. At least once or twice each night I wake up w/ the hose disconnected. I think I am pulling it off by moving my hands/arms in my sleep . Any ideas on what to do? Thanks

Get some type of a hose hanger?

Or record yourself at night to see whats going on and if there are any evil gnomes unplugging it.

Duct tape.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

The ClimateLine hose has to be turned at it's connection before it can be removed.

Are you sure that you have it connected correctly?
You must hear that click when turn it to connect it.
WithOUT that click, it is not completely connected.

She must be implying its coming off the mask then. The machine would probably be on the floor and broken. It looks like they're locked in well, but I'm not willing to test it out.

I assume that the hose is becoming disconnected at the mask.
When you attach the hose to the mask, make sure you twist it slightly onto the connector to create a friction joint. This should stop it coming off. Twist it again to remove it.

You haven't lost the little grey piece on the mask where the hose connects, have you?

Thanks for.all the ideas. My mask does NOT have the little gray pc so I will check on that. I am comparing hose hanger setups too.
Any pros or cons on them? I lost it again last night:'( Yes ,the hose comes off the mask. I am getting good @ finding the ends ,connecting & going back to sleep;)

The problem is definitely the missing piece then. Did you get it from a DME? They need to give you that part. It should have been on the mask when they gave it to you. In the meantime, try duct tape. The clear piece really isn't large enough to attach the hose to. Just make sure the duct tape doesn't cover up the anti-asphyxiation valve that is on the elbow.

I've been looking @ masks on the resmed site and others as well. Dang it! No it never had the part and guess what? I got it from Lincare. When the rt fitted me, she took mask out of the pkg but I guess she didn't notice the part was missing. This was the same person who didn't know how to set the machine she was issuing to me. Somehow I feel confident if I call them, they will charge me for replacement parts though it was missing from the get-go. I have had it w/ Lincare so am getting anything else from CPAP.com now anyway. I found the part on their site ($15!) and will order. I don't know if this will completely solve the problem but should make strides toward correcting it.

My suggestion for any and all of us is to compare what you get with the photos of the products. If things seem different, ASK why. I looked at the photos many times but thought what I was seeing was the hose attached to the mask and the gray part as belonging to the hose.
Thanks for the help, yall. I am amazed @ how much help I get from online forums.

Just wondering, were you using a different line before the climateline? If so, that "grey piece" may still be in the end of the old hose.

Just a thought.

Hornrocker, that was exactly my thought. Nope not there. I checked the travel bag they gave me & the drawer where the mask lives during the day. In retrospect the problem seems to have gotten worse over the last few weeks so I will look under the bed and behind furniture too. I am pretty sure I never had that piece:(

Is the hose a tight fit on the spigot?
From memory the climate line has a 15mm ID
Most masks are 19mm and need the reduce piece from 19mm to 15mm.
Both you mask & hose should be 15mm
