activa/activa lt masks

Post by herefishy » Wed Jan 16, 2013 9:16 am

I'm due for a new mask and guess I'll just go back to my activa, can't find anything else that fits. I noticed the Activa lt, though, and wondered if anyone has tried both models? Do they fit the same? Is the LT any less bulky and intrusive?

I was using the Activa for a number of years. A year ago I got the LT. I love them both. I don't think I can tell much difference. The LT has better venting and is supposed to be for "active sleeper".

The Activa and LT masks and head gear are the same.
The Active clasps unlatch from the sides. The LT unlatches from the inside.
The Activa adjusts with a ratchet style goose neck. The LT adjusts with a screw type device.
The activa vents downward. The LT vents more outward. (The is the difference my wife likes.)
That's about it.

Thanks for the info. Like the sound of the vents

I got my Activa LT several years ago. Works very well for me. I roll around a lot and side sleep. I had the Activa for a while and it was very slightly larger and heavier - not much but I was only a year in then (now 5 yrs) and the difference was noticeable. I also have to separately buy the small head gear as only the medium comes standard when you get a whole mask. I just get the cushions replaced about every six weeks. When the mask starts to leak a lot, getting a new cushion solves the problem I think the silicone breaks down some and then does not quite do the job.

I have used the Activa Lt mask for almost 2 years and I love it. It's the first one that I tried and I have had such great results with it that I haven't tried any any nasal masks. If it's not broke, why fix it??? LOL
