Best Bluetooth Pulse Oximeter for mac?

Post by lisacaice » Sat Jan 12, 2013 11:47 am

I"m looking for a pulse oximeter that has compatible software for my mac. I want to be able to periodically check my oxygen saturation. I have searched the board but can't find any posts that recommend one. Anyone know where to find one?

Thanks,
LIsa

Problem is that I don't know of any overnight recording pulse oximeter that has software compatible with Macs. Everything I have seen is all Windows. Kaiasgram looked high and low for a way to use her Mac with any overnight pulse ox. I don't think she ever found anything beyond creating a Windows virtual environment on her Mac.

You might email Kevin at the pulse ox store and see if he has heard of any software that will work with Macs.

So you probably have 2 hurdles...Mac compatible software and the blue tooth thing with the Mac.

True on all counts Pugsy. I even called Kevin at the pulse ox store when looking high and low.
It would probably cost less to buy an inexpensive PC or netbook to view your oximetry data than to set up the virtual PC environment on your Mac.

While not Bluetooth, Sleepyhead for Mac does support the CMS 50D Plus that many on this forum use.
