SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
I've created a new sleepyhead patch for the PRS1 Series 60 machines. This one should in theory work for BiPAP units.
However, I don't have any test data for other series 60 units, so it is quite possible I broke these units in the process. I'm asking for volunteers to test the new software as a result. It shouldn't have any effect on non-series-60 units, but feedback is welcome.
Anybody who does have data in Sleepyhead already should back up their profiles - on Windows it is under My Documents and is called SleepyHeadData - just make a copy of this directory, and if something goes wrong rename it back.
Otherwise this works the same as the other series 60 patch I sent out. Install SleepyHead as usual, then replace your SleepyHead.exe file with the one in the zip file linked below:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/thefreemanclan ... d-test.zip
Please post below indicating whether this appears to be working for you, and let me know what kind of machine you have. I'm just posting a windows build for now to get some feedback - if it is positive I'll be sure to post an OSX one shortly, and most likely I'll see if we can get an official release out.
If things aren't working, please post:
1. Details of what exactly is wrong.
2. The contents of your debug pane (enable under the help menu).
3. What machine you have (model, whether BiPAP, APAP, CPAP, or whatever).
4. If you're willing, please PM me about sending me your card data (I intend to keep this private but you will be doing so at your own risk, over the internet, to a complete stranger with no credentials, so don't do it if you're concerned with privacy).

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
I'll test this out when I get home and send you my card data for the PR System One 560.
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
It wont run for some reason. Let me know if you want the SD data for my APAP.

That sounds like what happens when you don't put the new SleepyHead.exe file into the program files\sleepyhead directory.cosmo wrote:It wont run for some reason. Let me know if you want the SD data for my APAP.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
No one else tried this?
I do have it in the correct folder because I have the other patch in there to work with the PR 560.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
Fired up the Windows VM to try this. I'm seeing the same error that cosmo posted.cosmo wrote:It wont run for some reason. Let me know if you want the SD data for my APAP.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
My mistake - I made it a debug build instead of a release build, and apparently that won't work without a matching set of dlls.
Re-download the zip file and try again.
I did get positive feedback from at least one person (maybe he happened to have the libraries installed from something else). So, it seems likely that this will be a keeper. However, please try again and let me know what your results are.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
I tested from a source build on OS X rather than the Windows EXE this time. The data imports from a 760 now, the graphs look right, and the reported AHI is not crazy.rich0 wrote:My mistake - I made it a debug build instead of a release build, and apparently that won't work without a matching set of dlls.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
The patch works now for my 560.
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
This patch worked for me. Sleepyhead is now importing. Still getting acquainted with the program and am not sure if it's fully functional yet. But it is now at least importing. Yea!!
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
Have you tried the current GIT tree from sourceforge?
Rich submitted those patches already.. or am I missing something
We're getting very close to going live for the next release.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
I think comments about git not working pre-date my merging in those changes. That only happened in Jan. I've yet to hear of any issues with the current code (there was an interim version that didn't work for Series 60 Bipaps, but that was fixed about a month ago).jedimark wrote:Have you tried the current GIT tree from sourceforge?

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
So I decided to try to build SleepyHead...
No such luck.
...\sleepyhead-code\Graphs\gLineOverlay.cpp:17: error: 'GL_QUADS' was not declared in this scope
According to my (brief) research, the GL_QUADS type has been declared obsolete. Apparently I am just lucky enough to have downloaded that change.
I followed the instructions on SourceForge, and this is the only error (there were a few warnings as well ... unused variables). I happen to also be a software engineer, but my experience does not include OpenGL, or for that matter Qt. I'm primarily a back-end developer (UI is NOT my strong point).
I am building it in Windows, using Qt Creator 2.6.2, which appears to be based on Qt 5.0.1.
I have a PR S1 Series 60 (aka model 560). The released version doesn't import the data ... it sees the system but reports No CPAP Machine Data Reported.
I have NOT tried the patch earlier in this conversation because it appeared that it had been checked in, hence the attempt at a build. I'd love to be able to build the code ... who knows, maybe I can contribute something useful. C++ is no stranger to me, so you never know!
Any ideas??

Sleep loss is a terrible thing. People get grumpy, short-tempered, etc. That happens here even among the generally friendly. Try not to take it personally.

Unless you just like the challenge of building. The SH download and the patch files will work.
See this thread.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 - Testing Request
It's not so much that challenge of building ... it's the desire to help. From the SleepyHead SourceForge page:

Seems to think the machine is a Bi-PAP and that, according to the AHI anyway, I am dead.
For comparison, here is data from the older machine followed by data for the new machine.

Here's the charts for Feb 6:

And for Feb 7:

And most interestingly, last night:

I'm willing to share my data if that'll help.

At any rate I did indeed get the patch and try it. I can download the data now, but interesting issues persist. I've had the S1 for three days now. This clip is from the summary screen:Building from source code
This one is a particularly helpful way of testing SleepyHead, although it requires a bit of technical skill. If you build SleepyHead from source code using QtSDK, from within QtCreator (in Debug mode), it can provide much deeper insight into particular problems. It will stop on the line of a crash. You don't need to be a programmer to do this, but you need to know your way around the build process. See the section on Building From Source Code
I am particularly grateful for the efforts of Jimbo (James Marshal), who's worked very hard with testing and preparing the Apple Mac builds of SleepyHead.
If you would like to do something nice for Jimbo, or send him some encouragement, you can contact him through his SourceForge user page here.
