Doc no longer reading Machine Cards

Post by Magnum » Wed Jan 09, 2013 10:39 pm

I have not been on here for a while. But just curious if anyone is in the same boat.

I saw my sleep doc about 4 months ago, and since I had failed a daytime sleepiness study he asked me if I was having trouble working, I did tell him I was tired all of the time. But these past few weeks I have been worse and called to make another apt to go back for more suggestions.

However, when I made the apt the nurse told me to be sure to take my card to my DME and have them read it and bring them the report. I told her they had been reading and doing the reports at there (which is the hospital actually). She said they no longer do that, my how 4 months have changed.

Anyway, I bought my machine from cpap.com. There are a couple of DME's but I have never been inside their place locally. For those who have purchased your machines online, how to get your card read if the doc does not do it? I am sure if I did not by the machine locally, they will charge a fee.

And unfortunately I have all of the software and card reader, but it will not load/run under windows 7 or I would print it out myself.

If there are new machines that provide that capability I may consider buying a new machine, if the costs are too much.

Your equipment list shows you have the older "M" Series Machine. Encore Basic will run on Windows 7 and will read your older machine. If your Windows 7 is running in 64 bit you will need the new driver. I have both and will be glad to send you a link. Check your PM's.

Yes I run specifically 64bit, I think I have tried the drivers before with no luck but will try again.
