I thought I had read some time ago about a Quick Connect/Disconnect apparatus that fits between the Resmed humidifier and the hose. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Cpap.com never heard of this thing. Maybe another provider carries it?
Thanks, Andy
humidifier/hose Quick Connect?
quick connect
cpap.com/productpage/hose-quick-connect.html.....$4.00+S&H
I ordered three last January. Use them to connect hose to apap (to be able to dry out the hose from nightly rainout) and to connect to the Humidaire for quick and easy refilling, and one is just a spare for another hose. Couldn't live without them because removing a regular hose end is tedious at best.
Doesn't everyone use these quick-connects?

I have no problem removing the hoses, you have to move them (wiggle from side to side) the function a little like that Chinese Finger handcuf toy if you try to pull it straight off it just gets tighter. Wiggle man, Wiggle!!
I think if you pulled straight up they would lift 100 lbs. Jim
It just came natural for me after changing radiator hoses for 35 years.

Is the "Humidaire" similar to the humidifier on a Respironics CPAP??????
The man with whom I spoke at cpap.com said the $4.00 or $4.50 ones do NOT connect to a humidifier - only hose to hose.
Andy
I use it to connect (and disconnect) my hose to the PB humidifier. I was worried that a twice daily wiggle will wear out the Australian heated hose connection.

The near side of the quickconnect is inserted in the hose, the far side grips the humidifier connection from the outside - its internal diameter is that of a hose, and this side will fit neither on a hose (too narrow for that), nor in it (too wide).
The hose to hose connector seems to me to be narrow (in-hose) on both sides (note the ridge between those sides). I am guessing that both the near side and the far side are inserted inside their respective hoses. You would only see the ridge between the hoses. That kind of connector would not work on a humidifier.

Thank you ozij, thank you very much.
I guess the man at cpap.com with whom I spoke must have been a trainee.
