Post by johnthomasmacdonald » Sat Jan 05, 2013 6:13 pm

supposedly - the company that diagnosed my apnea with a home test and sold me a system one APAP gave me a full refund and a 15% discount towards this upgrade - it's the 60 series - i think it's a 760

What software do i need read the sd-card - and if a PC, what are the system requirements

You could have used SleepyHead with the 60 series Patch if you weren't using a Mac... There is no Mac Patch file yet.
The Patch works only on Windows based OS.
EncoreBasic of course will require either a Windows PC or the virtual Windows in the Mac.
Give me a bit and I will try to figure out system requirements for EncoreBasic for you.
Will you be looking at Windows 7 or Windows 8...or an older PC?
Basic won't install on Windows 8 machine but I know how to get you a work around so it will work on Windows 8. So if you want to get a Windows 8 machine...we can make it work. Not a big deal.

Basic and SleepyHead both will work with either 32 or 64 bit computers. Easily, no problem.

EncoreBasic requirements same as Pro 2 (best I could find) pretty minimal requirements really.
for sure will install on 32 bit or 64 bit computers...Windows 8 there is a problem only with the installer. I know a work around if you want Windows 8.
Pretty much the below Encore minimums for Windows also work for Sleepyhead.
Encore Pro 2 (Compatible with Windows® Vista™)

Windows-compatible computer running Windows XP professional SP2, XP Home SP2, Vista Business SP1, Vista Home SP1, Vista Ultimate SP1 or Server 2003 SP2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or later
Windows Installer 4.5 or later
1 GHZ or faster processor speed 1GB of RAM
40 GB hard drive with at least 5 GB of available space
USB port or PCMCIA slot
CD or DVD-ROM drive 1024 x 768 or higher resolution video adapter and monitor
Windows-compatible monochrome or color printer
Windows-compatible pointing device (mouse)
UL 1950. IEC 60950, or EN60950 approved computer

Pretty much any Windows 7 PC will meet requirements easily.....if you can find one.

I have a question though....Windows 8 users out there....any of you all using the pulse oximeter with it?
Like the software for any of the CMS over night recording pulse oximeters?

Philips is supposedly launching an online service called SleepMapper.com in mid-Feb, 2013. I have no idea how comprehensive the interpretation or reporting will be. There is a shell of a website there with some video but not much detail.
