I have seen some limited posts by some who apparently use a soft cervical collar instead of a chin strap to keep their mouth closed & thus avoid losing air through their mouths when using a nasal mask.
Just curious if this is done by just a small minority of people or if it is done by many.
Also interested in the results.
Is it as good as a chinstrap? Better?

Re: Cervical Collar in lieu of a Chinstrap
It's not just to keep your mouth closed - the idea is to keep your head from falling forward too much and therefore helps keep your airway open better...
Re: Cervical Collar in lieu of a Chinstrap
I've used a cervical collar for close to a year now to prevent mouth breathing. I had tried numerous chinstraps and also had success with a boil and bite mouthguard. The collar is soft and comfortable, so I barely notice it. Paired with my bella loops, I feel less constricted. It's been the best solution to the mouth breathing problem, for me.
