Error Message

Post by grckalck » Thu Dec 27, 2012 8:37 am

Howdy! I am currently using a Respronics PR System one Auto. It has about 4700 hours on it. Last night it began turning itself off, then back on immediately. Also, the humidifier light came on and began flashing rapidly. It kept doing this over and over until I got up and switched out to my back up. Obviously the machine is trying to tell me something is wrong. Any idea what these error messages or whatever is happening mean? I googled and checked the Respronics website to no avail. Thanks for any help you can give me.

what is the model number of the machine that is acting up? you show 60 series in your profile. 4700 hours would be close to 2 yrs worth of use. the 60 hasn't been out that long, unless i'm wrong.

Take out the water tank to avoid spilling.

Then experiment with the connector on the back where power plugs in. Mine doesn't really fit well. Then check the connections on the power supply brick. Plug into a different wall outlet if possible.

Remove the humidifier and try it that way.

Good luck.

still curious about which model the OP has. there is something to this and it's not the way the plug goes in. my wife and i both have model 550p's that we got new in the box. she's had hers for at least a couple, maybe three years. mine is a year old. we have never had connection problems. the machines have never turned themselves off. now all of a sudden in the last couple weeks, my wife's has been shutting down 3, 4, 5 times some nights and ok other nights. one time she did see a service required message without a number. when it shuts off it gives 2 beeps. her humidifier is not in play. it's in the box. i tried swapping power assemblies and it still happened to hers and not mine. auto on is on. auto off is off. so theres something going on in the machine. we're going to replace it with a new one.
