I had a problem with my S9 AutoSet data recently.
A few days were missing totally, no compliance data, no nothing. Then a few days of no waveform data.
I did some careful experimentation, but it's a little hard to figure out what's going on because the S9 seems to not write the data out immediately after turning off.
Anyway, unplugging the power for a minute or so seems to have fixed it.

I had a problem with my s9 last year where it was showing 0 ahi's for 2 or 3 weeks, at first I thought Great I am doing exelent with my therapy then it seemed wierd so I shut it off and unpluged it. It fixed the problem. So now I unplug it every weekend.

The S9 hates it when you sleep past noon, and hates you accessing your data too soon after waking up.
