What type of tape are people using? I'm using the white sports tape like above. I do have a chinstrap on the way but I don't know how that will go yet.
Its not so good on my lips when taking off but holds it air tight and water tight for the drools. I'm going to start using the non sticky backside of the tape over my lips then tape it down.

J&J 1" cloth tape.

When you get tired of the taping and possibly chin straps...try a full face mask. That's what they are for.

I slobber too much for a full face mask. I have always woken up to a pool of drool on my pillow before CPAP.
I have a Mirage Quattro Full Face Mask that I have used once. Its in storage for when I have a clogged nose.

Put chap stick on your lips and the tape won't stick to your lips.

I use surgical tape that comes on a roll at the drug store and is pre-perforated in inch-long intervals. Two inches does the trick. I roll my lips in a little when I put it on, which helps my lips stay closed. Comes off fairly painlessly in the morning.

Let's see, I've used nasal strips, half of a band-aid, and a LARGE band-aid cut into a chin-up shape. All work equally well.

As a soon-to-be CPAP user (waitin' on the DME...), I appreciate the topic and the replies. Some of us aren't comfortable with full face masks -- that's one thing I'm claustrophobic about -- so getting info on the various alternatives, assuming it will be needed as I mouth breathe a lot now, is great for me!
Another brand I already had in my notes from someone else's post (didn't note who, sorry) is 3M micropore tape.
