Laptop computer capable of installing ReScan software?

Post by Newsgrouper » Sat Nov 17, 2012 9:23 pm

I am an old guy with an old laptop. My laptop is unable to install the ReScan software because it does not meet the software requirements. I don't know what those requirements entail. I think it is time to visit Best Buy for a new laptop to keep track of my progress. I'm hoping some of the computer savvy members can point me in the right direction.

Thank you

You can try to install Sleepyhead, it does the same thing as ReScan. See my signature field for the link.

My laptop is old by laptop standards, a 2007, a Dell Vostro, XP OS, with a Intel duel core processor, and 1 meg ram. ResScan works on it. Can't imagine you having a problem with a more modern computer. My desktop p/c is even older, and I don't have a problem with ResScan.

Update:

Part of your problem at the moment is that everything just changed over to Windows 8. Were finding a lot of things that won't run under Windows 8 yet. Unless you can find a computer with Windows 7 on it that has not sold you might want to wait a bit and see what comes with the changes. Really hate the change over times.
