How long till you noticed any difference?

Post by Daisy004 » Thu Nov 15, 2012 7:49 pm

At the 3 month mark now and still as tired as ever.. mask fit is good, pressure fine, Im sleeping on average of 6 hours a night. When I wake in the morning it takes me all my time to waken up...Im like a zombie. How long was it till you noticed any difference?

Only took a few days for me, and I have sever OSA. When I did my sleep study they put me on APAP that night after the technician did a nija kick to the door and woke me up. I was only asleep for two hours before the tech panicked and work me up.

If you are still being short on sleep you should review the data from your machine if it data capable, using SleepyHead or a program from your machine manufacture if available ResMed's software is ResScan. You will probalby need to see if you are still having alot of events or leaks.

Do you take any meds? Even OTC stuff?
6 hours of sleep is probably not enough hours of sleep. Is that 6 hours fragmented...wake up much?

If you awaken to an alarm and it goes off while your in the REM stage; then you will be tired and grumpy.
If you are awakened while in stage-3; it will take you some time to connect to the world. Stage-3 is when you are most unaware via sensory perception of the environment.

I agree 6 hours is not enough time for rest and restorative sleep. One should have 3-4 cycles of sleep...meaning going thru 3-4 REM cycles.

One night for the world to look a bit brighter.
One month to feel life was not all down hill from here.
Three months to realize data encryption wasn't all that difficult and obscure after all.
