My PapCap arrived today and I was so looking forward to trying it out tonight. But I put it on and it is WAY TOO BIG for my head. According to specs it is supposed to fit hat sizes between 6.75 to 7 1/8". I wear size 7. No way this can fit size 7. Oh, it does have a "M" tag inside. It would never pass for a "S". I haven't decided to keep it and do some major modifications or just send it back.
The PapCap goes below the tops of my ears. The back straps are each 2 inches too long and velcro only mates about one inch of the 4 inch strips. The strap that goes under chin is too long so there are about two inches of strap above where the velcro connects on each side
The minimum modifications required:
Move velcro strips on both back straps 2" and then cut off the excess. Finish off ends.
Move velcro strips on chin strap down about an inch on each side and cut off excess. Finish off ends.
Too make it fit much better:
Remove the band that goes all the way around the head and shorten it about in inch and sew it back on
Pretty ambitious project
Maybe I could MAKE one myself a lot cheaper than $36. Sometimes it is easier to make something from scratch than modifying something that is too large.

Re: S/M PapCap is HUGE
I had to adjust mine also. I just made a tuck between the band on the bottom and the cap part. This shortened the length of the cap so it didn't dig into the tops of my ears or cover my eyes.
If the diameter of the cap is too large, you could take it in at the vertical seams before making the tuck in the bottom.
Again, with the chinstrap itself, I just made a tuck on each side close to the velcro.
Cheers,
xena

Re: S/M PapCap is HUGE
I feel your pain. I got one 2nd hand thankfully from NAN at minimal shipping cost only awhile back and have used it several times. It ends up slipping down over my eyes by morning and I can't even see It's also labeled as a S/M I do recall.
Someone had mentioned washing it in the washing machine at a certain setting to make it shrink which I haven't tried because I'm afraid of ruining the velcro.
Such a shame about the sizing issue as other than adding a little warmth to my head, otherwise it seems like a decent chin support/strap alternative.
I will likely get brave and try the washing technique to see if that resolves the problem.

Hi Lazer! Before you wash it, attach all the velcro tabs to the correct receiving ends. This should help the hook portions not pick up fuzz in the wash and dry. I really have wanted to try the PapCap but it sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth.

Re: S/M PapCap is HUGE
I altered the one I had and washed it in real hot water and it did shrink some. I eventually went to a full face mask and am happy with my mask, zero leaks almost every night.
