Need to purchase Resmed H5i in Tokyo

Well, coming out of customs today at Narita, my CPAP dropped, and I just discovered the humidifier (Resmed H5i that goes with the S9) seems to be broken. So, I have two questions.
First, can anyone recommend a place in Tokyo where I would be able to buy a replacement (renting is not an option because I will be in Asia for about six weeks, moving from one country to another)?

Also, I suppose I could operate the S9 without the humidifier but I believe I would then need to replace a part to keep the air from blowing out of the S9 into what otherwise would be the humidifier; unfortunately I don't have that part with me. Are there any fixes for this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can plug your hose directly onto the fitting that would otherwise lead into the humidifier.
If you have the heated hose, just switch ends so it will go onto the machine.
The other end will look odd, but it will attach to your mask.

Thanks Chunkyfrog for the suggestion, which I may have to resort to. Thankfully though I just noticed the gasket on the humidifier door fell off (and was on my hotel room floor), apparently from the earlier impact. I put it back on and this may solve the problem (although the humidifier made a few strange noises when I initially turned the machine one--hopefully from the gasket seating).

In any event, if I am in a pinch I will try what you just suggested. In the meantime, as I am not yet confident the humidifier is going to work properly over the course of the next few weeks, if anyone does know of a place in Tokyo where I could purchase a replacement (which I might do in any case in an abundance of caution since I will be traveling) please let me know.

As far as I know you CANNOT purchase the H5i humidifier in Japan. I had to buy my H5i from the States and had it shipped here.
How long are you here? If you really need one, send me a PM. Enjoy Tokyo!

There is a plate that covers the side of the machine where the humidifier goes, but the hose will fit just fine without it. The plate looks to be mostly cosmetic, but it would protect the connectors, etc.

If you still have a problem, check how the humidifier lid is fitting on the top of the humidifier. The lid falls off easily and is a little screwy getting it back on correctly.

Your best bet would be to contact the Resmed office in Tokyo...

You could try to order one from USA if you're in a jam. You could get one before the end of the week. USA shipping to Japan/S. Korea/UK/W. EU is pretty quick.

Thank you everyone for your advice. Fortunately, it does seem the humidifier has "recovered" after I discovered the gasket or seal had fallen off the top (and fell just under the hotel bed) and I then put it back on . I say "fortunately" because although having one's CPAP in working order is a real necessity for some (I think I'm in the low to intermediate risk category) Resmed does not seem to want to make it easy for us. First, I learned from CPAP.com that Resmed forbids them from shipping to Japan as they presumably do for their other U.S.-based vendors. Then I had someone who speaks Japanese telephone Resmed's office here in Tokyo and got a very helpful "Sorry we cannot help you." Now, I cannot vouch for exactly how that conversation went, but what I had asked my Japanese friend to inquire about was whether it was possible for me to purchase an H5i in Japan. Irrespective, it is fortunate (as above) that I was able to get it to work again, and I am hoping it continues to do so for the next five weeks, after which I return to the U.S.
