I can't take warm air the cooler the better, so I leave mine off, and use it as a passover. It only uses a couple of oz of distilled water a day, but that is with a FF Mask.

I think a nasal interface probably needs more mosture. Jim

By broke what do you mead and what kind is it, mine cracked and the replacement was about $22, Mine was free, 2 year warrenty.

Ginger,
Seems to me if you're not having any problems without the humidifier, why go back? My brother has been using a cpap for several years, and just within the past few months decided to drop the humidifier. He says he's doing fine too......but will probably go back in the winter when the air is drier.
I am using a cold air passover humidifier, and am getting along fine with it. Others I've talked to on the message board said they had bad experiences with it.
It all seems to be whatever YOU are comfortable with. But there are many helpful people on this board who will give you their honest ideas and good tips.
