Resmed S9 Autoset with Humidifer power brick issues
Resmed S9 Autoset with Humidifer power brick issues
Since I have had this Resmed S9 with Humidifier and the heated hose, it has said please attach a 90 Watt Resmed power supply even after its attached. It works but what the H E Double hockey sticks can be wrong with it? I dont have a troubleshooting guide but I know the machine shouldnt be saying this. I got the machine from cpap . com but they were not very cooperative when I said I needed an RMA. It looked new when I recieved it but it didnt act like it since it had this message. Any help would be appreciated.

You clearly have a hardware fault somewhere in your S9 system. The only realistic thing you can do, is to get it to a service center

Take a look at the end of the power cord that fits into the machine. There should be 3 little pins. if any are missing that is your problem I have seen them break before. Feel free to email me if that does not work. Also all Resmed CPAP's if new have a two year warranty. So CPAP.com should be willing to send it back in and get you a new one free of charge. If you have any problems with that we can see what we can do to help as well.

The pins are all there on the cord going into the S9. I have another power supply on the way from the EBay. That shouldl tell me if its the machine or not, at least I hope so.
Re: Resmed S9 Autoset with Humidifer power brick issues
The S9 can be delivered with a 30 watt powersupply, check this, because the 30 watt PS cannot be used with humidifier and climate line. If you ordered your S9 and humidifier/climateline separatly this could be the problem.

Is the power supply labeled as being the 90 watt version? What's the part number?
Does it ever not give you the error message?

You have to look at the rating plate printed on the underside of the unit. It will clearly say either 30 VA or 90 VA. VA is exactly the same as a watt only totally different.
