Sleepy while driving...again...

Post by otessa63 » Fri Oct 12, 2012 9:14 pm

So, I have a Respironics BiPAP System One but have found that I am more comfortable with the Resmed nasal pillows. All was going well for awhile, but I started being very sleepy while driving again and checked my AHI...it's up to 14-15 per hour on average. Advice? Should I send my device chip to my Home Health team and have them send the report to my doctor? This is really worrisome since I drive a carpool every other week. Suggestions?

Thanks!

Lisa

Sounds like it might be a good idea to see what may have changed. Either you or your doctor needs to figure out what and why the change.

How is your leak? What is the event category breakdown for that AHI? How many in each category?

Please submit your itinerary so the rest of us can adjust ours, thus saving our own skins.
In other words, let someone else drive while you are a possible danger. please.

Were I you, I'd call the doctor directly and bypass the HHT. Take charge of your own health care. It's your life. It may cost someone else's life if you don't get effective treatment.
