Intellipap data results confusion..

Post by znurtdog » Fri Sep 28, 2012 1:53 pm

Hi all, I'm on day 5 of my treatment and use an Intellipap Standard Plus. When I wake up and shut the machine off, I look through the data for the previous night. It shows AHI, leaks etc. Trouble is, when I look at the numbers again in a few hours they are very different. For example this morning, as soon as I shut the machine down I scrolled through the numbers and saw 18 AHI and 30 high leak rate. After my breakfast, I looked at the numbers again and it said 7 AHI and 0 leak rate. Any ideas what I'm missing? I make sure that I'm looking at 'one day' vs 7 or 30. Thanks, Jon

You might need to figure out when it updates the data, may be after certain time of day. On my PR1, I got out off machine at 745 am and went back on from 915 am to 1115. The latter session's data was not counted until completing the next night sleep. I think its looking at Hrs > 4 and / or time of day a session starts on when to count the data. Not sure what your's does, but DME may know.

Hmm - are you pushing the up and down button while in the Quick View menu? If so you are changing the summary data range. If you look in the upper right-hand corner of the screen you will see 1D, 7D, 30D or 90D. This stands for the number of days worth of average data you are viewing. So if you want to see last's nights data, you will want to select 1D. If you push the up or down arrow, the data summary range will change. Options are 1 Day, 7 Day, 30 Day and 90 Day.

Could that be what you are experiencing?

Here is the response I got from Devilbis...

Jonathan,

Thank you for your email. There is not an internal clock in the unit. The reason it is changing is because, if you check it right after waking up, it has not had a chance to refresh for the new data. You can try waiting about 4 hours after turning the unit off and allowing it to refresh itself, or if you need the information immediately, you can try a “hard” refresh. To do this, move two screens to the left and then go back…this will force a refresh.

Thank you,
Angie

So I guess that answers that!
