Today is one year on the hose for me.
Thanks to all the contributors on this website, as well as CPAP.com for sponsoring!
I have many friends on CPAP and I was much better prepared and informed than they were, thanks to the wisdom from all of you who share your experiences in this forum.
My sleep is not perfect yet, but it is good and continues to get better. I've slowly figured out the things that work for me.
With all of your help, I am pretty comfortable now with my machine, mask, how to handle congestion and the overall CPAP therapy.
Sincere thanks to all of you.
Thanks to all the contributors - 1 year on the hose!

If you are struggling with congestion, it helped me to add Alkalol to my daily sinus rinse. This reduced my congestion and allows me to breathe freely with my CPAP mask. CPAPtalk post about Alkalol use here: viewtopic.php?p=665255#p665255

Java Time,
Congratulations on your one year of PAP use! I have 43 more days and I will be experiencing the same thing. Now you can move forward and go from just being called a 'hose head' to a more respectful 'Mr Hose Head' . I hope your sleep continues to improve and that it will move ever closer in the next year to the perfection you seek!

In a few days, I will be able to second this anniversary post! This forum has provided so many tips for comfort, data interpretation, and perhaps, most importantly, the continued support that I check out on a daily basis. Again last night, like I have been a third of the time the last few months, I had a zero (untreated 49/desat 65). You will begin to notice even more improvement as your body settles and adapts.

Wow, "Mr. Hose Head", I like that! Very respectable! Somewhere between my former Hose Head Jr. status and my eventual, Hose Head Sr.2 B Sleeping Soundly wrote:Java Time,

If you have to strap something funny to your face every night, I guess it's good to be able to keep a sense of humor. Congrats to 2 B Sleeping Soundly and Kitatonic who are approaching the 1 year Mr. and Ms. Hose Head mark as well!

I don't think I can take any credit for helping you out directly, but maybe something I mentioned in a certain post was helpful in the past. It's odd how sometimes you'll be reading a post of marginal interest to you and BINGO, there's a big tip or recommendation which shines thru. Also, it's nice when a member comes back and says 'thanks for the collective help'. A big shout out of thanks definitely goes to the Goodmans and CPAPcom, who's sponsorship makes this all possible.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
