She is.....

Post by carbonman » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:39 am

my protector.
with me, no matter how far apart,
we are always together.
the one who always picked me up
and made me a better person.
who I shared my dreams and
my success and failures and
my fears.

is the warm sun on my skin.
the wind rustling the leaves.
the chill in the morning air.
the silence of the night.
the truth between the day and the dark.

she is the spirit and the light.

Let her shine in your heart,
as she does in mine.

My sister is in a much better place.
No more pain or suffering.
I was with her,
as were my wife...her sister by the special bond they had,
her father,
her loving husband,
her step daughters and her wonderful friends.
She was the most precious person in all
of our lives, each held in her heart in
her own special way.

I have never known life without my big sister.
"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.

My thoughts are with you.

Thank you for sharing those tributary (in more than one sense) words.

My personal hope is to meet her face-to-face one day.

The beautiful flower that Heaven could not be denied
Leaves a vacancy, now filled with sadness;
To be replaced in time with sweet, loving memory.

Her suffering is past, yours remains.
May you fill the hole in your heart with the memories it calls to mind.
