Looks kinda like some of those pics you see of space nebula, minus the cool colors.

I hope that you get it sorted out FA.

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many...

It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong.

Looks to me like you need to clean it real good to disinfect it, if you can't get a new one and only use distilled water. It didn't get that way over night.

Finally something I can agree on. You can't expect that to clean up just by dumping the water. You had to to work pretty long and hard to get the chamber that way.
Start with a NEW Chamber.

How weird. I am probably the world's worst for regular cleaning and I have never had anything show up in my tank.
Nothing. Mostly I just top off the water (right at bedtime) but then I use most of the water each night depending on hours asleep.
If I get 8 hours (wishful thinking due to dogs) I can use up the entire tank.
I have been using same tank since mid Feb and maybe dumped it twice. Still crystal clear.
I have used both Walmart distilled water and store brand Always Save from grocery store and never any problems.
Same routine for over 3 years...lazy about cleaning and dumping and never had anything show up in tank.
Maybe the fact that I use up almost all the water (sometimes have used every bit of it) every night has something to do with my luck.. the water doesn't get a chance to sit there very long at all.

I been seeing this vapour (condensation) every morning for three years, if the room temp at night is "cool". It does not bother me. It is on the cover of the humidifier (not the chamber). It goes away during the day b/c my room temp is close to 80 F. I rinse it when I rinse the chamber every 2 to 3 weeks, with warm tap water and liquid soap.

I have condensation in mine every morning just like avi123 when I take it out of the warm atmosphere of the machine and into the air conditioned house. After it sits out awhile it goes away. Turn the A/C on in the spring set at 78 degrees and never shut it off till fall.

Is possible that it's dirt on your camera lense and you just pulling our legs?

Are you using distilled water? Some people have had this problem with Walmart water. Normally distilled water will keep your humidifier clean. I use my humidifier cup for a year and rarely rinse it out.

When I saw your photo I went back and looked at your original thread about this. You mentioned in one of your earlier posts that the cover of this humidifier tank was tinted whereas previous tanks were made of a clear plastic. Do you think there could be some chemical(s) or impurities in whatever they use to tint the plastic that could have contributed to whatever this contamination is?

Is that empty? Before or after cleaning? Does it wipe off? Can you feel anything on the inside surface of the chamber?

Run it through the dishwasher if you've got one and see what happens.

You are opening it up to clean it, aren't you?

BTW, I've had some of my WM distilled water jugs sit unopened for a couple of months with no obvious changes. However, WM water comes from local producers, so Kentucky WM water doesn't come from the same source, or go through the same processing plant.
