Post by Spektor » Thu Sep 13, 2012 4:52 pm

Does anything know anything about this new System One budget model? Any online owners manuals etc avail?

Nothing at all on website other than promotional material. Supposedly an APAP and CPAP will be avail., plus they can use the heated tube humidifier system.

Sorry the system is making me break up this web page from PR to allow me to post it!!! Grrrrrrrr!

Never heard of it.
Can't figure out how to try the link with it all broken up like that. Won't work for me.
Googled it and found nothing..

I found this over at another forum http://www.apneasupport.org/pr-remstar- ... 30069.html it's a Remstar SE CA Model 221CA. If you google the Remstar number you'll get some hits.

Model numbers in the 200s offer CFlex and hours of use and that is it.
Couldn't find any hits when I googled it to point to Respironics website for any additional information.
I did read the comments in the threads at the other forum websites that came up with the Google search.

Looks like from that PDF that the SE is a brick: The PDF mentions compliance data and nothing else *sigh*

The display is intriguing. It looks like it may actually have enough size and contrast to read. I hope they've actually upgraded from a 1980's quality LCD display to something you can see.

However, it looks like a 7 segment display instead of a "computer graphic" display. That could just be they're using a funky font, but I hope they haven't put in some cheezy limited function fixed graphics display.

It will be interesting to find out the details as they become available. Especially about if you can get into the clinician's menu easily. I keep expecting the manufacturers to lock the users out of this at some time in order to protect the profits of the DMEs.

I just started using a REMstar SE to replace my aging Healthdyne Tranquility Quest (14 years old).
But trying to get a clinician's manual is easier said than done. Philips didn't answer my email.
I acquired user manuals for trhe REMstar and the heated humidifier but that's it.
The humidifier manual is also available online but these are strictly at the user level. No relevant setup information.

try this:

Put on the device (power key will ligth). Press both left arrow keys at once by 5 seconds: the message P-1 will appears. Then you will be able to walk along the full menu....To finish you must pres the power key (power ligth on) and the mesage P-0 indicates you are on the working situation.

Thanks for the info. Is the data displayed on the display just two digits, or is there some sort of text display? How do you know you're setting pressure, FLEX, machine hours, etc.?

Figured it out...
- Press and hold the two left-most buttons and while still holding them, plug the AC cord into the back.
- Keep holding them until "P-1" appears (you're in programming mode when it does)
- Navigate using the right or left arrows, the icon that is lit up will show you where you are.
- Press the power button to enter the settings mode for whatever icon you're on.
(imagine the power button as an "enter" button)
- Use the right or left button to toggle up or down, press the power button to go back to "main" menu
- When you're done, keep pressing the right or left buttons until "P-0" appears
- Press power again and you're out of the settings mode...
