Filters REMstar Pro C-Flex+

Post by fm1520 » Sat Sep 08, 2012 7:13 pm

Hi,

I am replacing the fine white filter on my machine. The manual says "mesh side facing in" the filter has a shiny side and a rough side, not sure what they mean by "mesh". Thoughts?

Thanks.

Fuzzy/soft/cushy sort of rough side goes to the outside because the particles of dust and stuff get caught up in the fibers..
Mesh side usually has a slightly slick and plastic shiny look and feel. This side faces the inside of the air intake.

FM, are your filters authentic Respironics filters in a package with the Respironics logo?

Respironics filters used to have a little square tab and a molded plastic mesh on the back side. I think newer ones don't have the tab and one side is sort of sprayed with plastic rather than having a mesh on it.

There are also a lot of people selling filters not made by Respironics. Some of them are less than up front that they're not "genuine" Respironics filters.
