Pulse Oximeter Readings

Post by Grumpygus » Thu Sep 06, 2012 6:01 pm

Got the Oxygen meter this afternoon and of course, in good scientific fashion (that's what I told the wife anyway) I took a nap with it on, without the CPAP to see what the results would be.

The Green line is O2, the Blue is heart rate..
So to answer my question on how many times my o2 levels drop to 88 or below in a 2.5 hour nap...4
tonight I'll see what it does on the CPAP.

I'm not sure if you put the grey around the low data points to make it easier to view, but doing so also tells SPO2 to ignore that data.

I only see 55 minutes on your image, also my dr put me on O2 because I was staying under 90. Jim

Didn't know that! Thanks Bill, I was just highlighting.
This was just a little confirmation for me and a chance to play with a new gadget, I took about a 3 hour nap (without the CPAP) and at about the 1 hour mark I started having issues.

Woke up again on the CPAP (its 3:50am), but finally broke the 3 hour mark and got 4 whole hours (maybe Im getting used to it!) This time it wasnt the blast of air or the waking up Claustrophobic, it was the almost drowning in the accumulated drool! I found the discussion on here for that and will get those Remzzz's ASAP! Guess its just another hurtle to cross.
