When I first got my cpap, I was given a FX for Her nasal pillow. My nose was so raw, I couldn't stand it. I am using a Mirage Activa LT now. I have been reading the reviews on the Aloha and the Piliaro? Many folks are saying that the FX made their nose sore and the Aloha doesn't. I am just wondering if it is worth trying either one of the other pillows. I know everyone is different but does anyone have any advice?
Also, can anyone tell me why the return insurance prices are different for different masks? The return on the Piliaro is $41.00.
FX for Her vs Aloha vs Piliaro
Re: FX for Her vs Aloha vs Piliaro
The vendors charge a higher insurance rate when there is a greater risk that the item will be returned. Seems as if some people love the Pilairo, but it doesn't work for many. A common complaint is that the headstrap, which is supposed to be one size fits all, is way too tight for many people. That mashes the pillows into the nose and is not comfortable! Also, some have complained that the pillows on the Pilairo extend further into the nostrils than other designs. I suggest you search for the thread titled "Pilairo!" It has some excellent and thorough comparisons of experience with the brands you are interested in. Of course, what works for one face with a minimum of leaks may not be comfortable or functional at all for another person.

Re: FX for Her vs Aloha vs Piliaro
Hi! I can't speak about the FX because I've not tried it yet but I have the Pilairo and the Aloha. I like the Pilairo well enough but needed to add an extension to the headband to make it comfortable but I still have the sensation of having a hunk of plastic perched on the tip of my nose and upper lip. Had I not worn the Aloha it probably wouldn't be an issue. For me, it is a good back-up. The Aloha is my favorite of the two because it takes up so little space on my face. The headgear is comfortable and highly adjustable and doesn't need to be tight to do it's job and I like the little velcro loop to route the hose over my head when I feel so inclined. It was my first nasal pillow mask and a very gentle and happy introduction to this type of mask. I want to try the FX for her eventually but am in no big hurry.
