Size of nasal pillow on Swift FX for Her?

Post by Chikorita » Sat Aug 18, 2012 2:45 am

Hi Everyone,

I've changed from a nasal mask to nasal pillows this week.
I have been using the Small size which seems ok.
Leaks seem ok and stats look good.

My question is how do I know if the Medium would fit better without actually trying it on?
Happy to try the larger size if that's the only way I can know but would prefer not to.
Sounds dumb but I'd like to avoid using it if I can so I can swap it.

Any tips on working out size?
A certain way it should feel? Look?

Any advice greatly appreciated?

Unfortunately there is no way to know if a Medium will work or not without trying it on.
Using it one night to try won't affect its ability to be traded all that much. Mediums are the most highly sought after size. If I needed a medium I would be happy to trade with you even if it was used one night. I consider that pretty much new. It might freak out a few people but most people won't care about a night or two of prior use.

You can sort of get an idea just by putting the pillow up to your nostrils. That won't stop post people either.
Heck, we get more germs handling money every day. Yeah, a few people will be put off by a nasal pillow that has touched someone else's nose but most people will understand and it won't matter. Wash it well, dry it and replace in zipper seal bag and it will be fine. You might find that you do well with the medium and can actually use both sizes.
I am that way with the Small and XSmall size.

I would keep the original set. I occasionally have to switch between medium and small with both my FX and LT.

Yes, use the Medium and see how it feels. If you decide it is not for you, wash it well, and you can even drop it into boiling water (turn the heat off under the pot.) After it is dry, put it back in the bag and make a little note to put in the bag with it how long you used it. When you trade, give all information, because some people just think they need to know. That is how I make use of masks that were given to me. Never got sick from someone else's germs on any of my donated masks or nasal pillows.

I have both the Small and the Ex-Small... and can use either.
Now that I have a full data machine, I'll be able to figure out which is better for me.

Truth be told, I *think* that the Small feels better.

Oooh... gotta go! Big thunderstorm, thank heavens! We need the rain!

Thanks. I'll give the medium a go tonight.
