UltraMirage FF vs Comfortfull 2 mask

Post by LilBuckaroo » Wed Mar 29, 2006 11:04 am

Hi all,

I have and use UlraMirage FF masks, size Medium. I am considering purchasing a Comfortfull2 mask. What are the pros and cons of this mask, regarding leaks and comfort. I don't have any problems with my UMFF, but if the Comfotfull2 is "better" I may try it.

Thanks for your input.

Harold,

I think that was the mask I used in my sleep study last year. In hindsight, I regretted not trying to talk them out of it to see how it would work over a longer period of tiime (I'm sure I paid dearly for it). On the other hand, Rested Gal, I believe, has said that if it has the word "comfort" in the name, it probably isn't (or something to that effect).

Why change if the existing ones are working for you?

Best wishes,

Den

Den, 99% of the time, that is my philosophy also. I used the Nasalaire for 3 years. It was my first and only mask (I got a new Nasalaire every 6 months), but never tried anything else.

But then I found this forum and RG's comments on the Aura Headrest - and I thank God that I broke down and tried it. So, change is sometimes good. ...........

I have to agree with linda. I have 4 masks now and change depending on the situation. I have had allergies lately so I have been using the Ultra Mirage FFM. My "all the time mask" is the Aura (gotta love the freedom) I use the NAII when I am traveling because it is so easy to pack and I just recieved a comfort curve which I have not tried yet. So yes, change can be a good thing. I guess it just depends on how easy you adapt to change.

I am pretty sure the Comfortfull2 only recently went on the market and is a supposedly "improved" version of the older Comfortfull mask. Like many, I recently started therapy and chose the UltraMirage FF over the old ComfortFull based on comments made by Rested Gal and other helpful folks on these boards. So far, I am relatively happy (as far as one can be with these masks, given the leaks, rude noises, etc.), but I would love to hear from anyone who has actually used the new ComfortFull 2 and have their opinion of whether the improvements are significant. Satisfied is always a relevant term with respect to masks, so I am always interested in new options. I posted a request for comments a while back, right when the mask was first shipping, but got no responses (I am sure nobody had even gotten one yet at that time).

Any comments?

Ciao,
SleepyJD

Guess I didn't notice the "2" in the mask name in Harold's post.....sorry.
I was thinking of the OLD Comfortfull.
