NATIONWIDE MEDICAL

Post by Lisaintosa » Fri Aug 10, 2012 1:37 pm

Hi All!

Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with an outfit called Nationwide Medical out of California. Got a call from them and just trying to be careful. Any help is appreciated!

They were asking about what kind of machine, mask, etc I use. What insurance I have and who the prescribing doc is. they said they were going to call my ins and see what coverage I have. I called 1st and they are out of network so after a $3000 ded and a $3000 out of pocket ded they pay 70% and I pay 30%.

Said he'd call back and let me know what my coverages are, how much I'd have to pay and go from there. Also, said that they have an A+ rating from the BBB and, yes, I checked that too. It's actually a B rating!

Should be interesting to see what he tells me when/if he calls back.

Ever since a cold call salesman for extension cords dropped the "F" bomb on my wife, I have a standard response to cold calls, usually gruff, sometimes hostile. If no thank you does not work, and NO does not work, then I resort to H__L NO. I never deal with them no matter what the product or the cause and always ask to be removed from their phone list!

In my experience, a cold call is a red flag for bad business, bad products, and sleazy practices.
