Does Tricare pay for a Battery for a CPAP???
Or any insurance??

Since each insurance is diff how could we guess? I feel Lucky today so I'd say yes. Do Let us know.

Almost never going to happen, and it shouldn't, xpaps run on a/c. If you want more, you buy it with your dollars not your neighbors. Jim

I have a patient that is military and going to iraq. military telling him he needs one, but they dont wanna pay for it! Crazy!! They are expensive!

Once he is on active duty, Tricare does not cover him - If he is prescribed (ordered) a battery it should be billed to his supporting MTF.

NOW that is a completely different crystal ball to use

They may tell him he needs one bc there will be primitive living conditions or no commercial power or unstable comm. power.

My guess is he will need one and IF he wants to sleep he will need to provide one IF they won't. Depending on how many years he has he may have to get out if he cannot take the assignment. He can always make friends with someone in supply or vehicle maint. IF he is sleeping in a HMMWV he may have a power source to use.

Tell him to get a battery jump starter, maybe one to carry with him and order one to ship to him, IF that is possible. Many places will not ship to a PO Box.

Two - so he can charge one while using another but that all depends on his assignment.

I use a Sears Diehard.
