hi, i have a heated hose and it is gurgling loudly. worse on breathing in- like slurping with a straw when you're glass in near empty.
i have machine lower than mattress. i tried moving machine, repositioning hose. still problems.. tried adjusting 'heat/humid' still problems. diff. figuring out the 'climate control' function. booklet does not quite match up.. references to levels talks about 1, 2. 3 etc when the display shows temperatures in degrees.
dont think the humid part of the resmed s9 is working... brand new machine. don't know what to do.

If the display is showing temperature only then it is set to automatic adjustment in the clinical menu. That is why you don't see the other setting numbers.
You can change that feature in the clinical menu.
To check to see if the humidifier is working just turn the machine on and breathe with it for about 15 minutes and then turn it off and immediately pull out the tank and check for warmth. It won't be hot but it should be warm.
I don't know how to tell if the climateline heated hose is working or not but some of those wires are fragile and it is possible that the hose isn't heating things like it should even if the heater at the tank is working properly. A wire might be broken.
I think you should be talking to whomever supplied you the equipment.

thank you 4 your response. will ck w/ supplier monday. btw based on diff symtoms- they are requesting ins. switch to machine that can adjust (breath by breath?) and not let me 'bottom out' due to 'Cheyne Stokes breathing' . said there would be a 'set rate' ... to safeguard against this. i did not notice current machine respond to change in my breathing.
