Husband Sleep Apnea

Post by Sharp » Wed Jul 04, 2012 1:33 pm

My husband just had his gall bladder out. He is in pain and does not want to use the machine. We have a dr appointment tomorrow. Is there a link between gall bladders being taken out & Sleep Apnea? I've seen other post. Is there a connection?

I assume he's been using the CPAP for some time?
If his procedure was laparoscopic, I imagine he felt like they pumped him full of gas,
then played a game of table hockey inside his body.
The post-op pain can be bad; but he needs the rest to recover quickly.
Any way you can play on his pride or machismo?
He needs the oxygen now even more than ever.
If the docs felt he should take a break from the machine, they would have said so.
Men! mine can be such a big baby! Yours, too?

I would think pain meds, if he is on them, would decrease is respiration even more.
Then I think, he's a big boy and he's the one that's going to feel worse the next day.
Sleep good.
