Features I want in my first machine
Features I want in my first machine
I've been compiling a list of features that members have recommended on here.
I'm hoping to know exactly which machine I want before I see the technician and what prices I can buy them online for. Please add anything I've missed. Suggestions for machines and extras that fit this criteria would be great too.
Features:
Auto titrating
Data capable
Humidifier
Heated hose
Standard SS card

Re: Features I want in my first machine
Your list looks good so far.
As for machines, the first two that come to mind are:
1) ResMed S9 Autoset with Hi5 Humidifier and ClimateLine hose; or
2) PR System One REMStar 60 Auto with 60 Series Heated Tube Humidifier and Integrated Heated Tube

Re: Features I want in my first machine
Thanks.
Is the "ResMed S9 Autoset with Hi5 Humidifier and ClimateLine hose" the same as this "ResMed S9 AutoSet w/ Heated Humidifier"?
It is taking me a while to get my head around all the features.

Re: Features I want in my first machine
Same blower and humidifier. "ClimateLine" is the heated hose and is not included unless it mentions it.Chikorita wrote:Thanks.

I think the PRS1-60 may or may not come with the hose as well.

Re: Features I want in my first machine
Make that efficacy data capable. Apparently some DMEs think that if a machine collects use data, it's data capable.Chikorita wrote:I've been compiling a list of features that members have recommended on here.

Re: Features I want in my first machine
Even better, "Airflow waveform data". Some do AHI, but don't record airflow waveforms and you lose a LOT of important information that way.howkim wrote:Make that efficacy data capable. Be sure the data recording capability is included, no extra cost module like the DeVilbiss machines.

Re: Features I want in my first machine
Start a notebook to keep notes in. It helps the memory process when you write things down too. Get a blank notebook just for your sleep.Chikorita wrote:Thanks. I'm bookmarking all these for future reference.
Don't be afraid to use dates/times or keep track of who you talked to AND what they told (promised) you.
My fav is to write down questions you have for the doc or tech. You know how you forget when they come in the room? Leave room under the question for their answer. Don't let them go until you get all your answers.
Good Luck
Edit: be sure to write in machine make & models.
