MAsk Liner for ResMed Mirage FX for Her Nasal Mask

Post by 70116 » Wed Jun 27, 2012 9:22 pm

My wife started CPAP 2 days ago. She awoke both mornings with red marks on either side of her nose which took hours to disappear.

I believe that a mask liner may help but I can't seem to find one for her mask, a ResMed Mirage FX for Her Nasal Mask.

Feedback with experience would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to Pad a Cheek, they have mask liners for the Mirage FX for Her
Call Karen and she will help you with the order - the liner is not readily found
on the website

I'm not sure about the nasal version, but my understanding is that with the full-face Mirage Quattro FX and the for her version, the only difference is in the straps, and a regular liner for the mask itself would fit the same.

I'm currently using the Mirage FX for Her Nasal Mask, which, of course, doesn't fit the same as the Quattro FFM. Incidentally, I used the Quattro FX for Her for several months before throwing in the towel. My guess is that your wife has that nasal mask a little too tight. I know that I learned from this forum that the mask shouldn't be as tight as possible to work properly. Tell her to try and play around with the straps and see if that helps. I know it has taken me soooo long to get just the right mask and just the right fit. I also wear a chin strap under my nasal mask. Just keep trying different things. Eventually she'll find something that works for her, but don't give up on CPAP!

I purchased my Mirage FX for her nasal mask liner from Karen at Pad-a-cheek. Either call her directly or order another nasal mask but put what you want in the comments area. Love mine.

Hi all,

Friendly neighborhood new guy again...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but it popped up while google searching and seemed like the best way to ask this question.... Do a lot of you use these padded liners? My Mirage FX (I love how they like to make this masks seem like they are jet fighters) leaves red marks on the side of my nose even when I have it pretty loose. How would you rate them from a comfort level? And do they cause you leak problems?

16 bucks isn't a big deal to spend for the experiment I guess, but as GI Joe says "Knowing is half the battle". He never says what the other half is...

+1 on all of Karens products at pad a cheek.

I use several types every night. Mask liner for my Quattro & strap cushion for the back of my neck. Washable, easy to clean, last forever.
