AHHH!!! I STEPPED ON MY CLIMATE LINE :(

Post by silentsinger21 » Tue Jun 26, 2012 12:22 am

Ok, so last Thursday I got my Climateline, and loved it but tonight by an accident since my tubing fell to the floor and didn't realize it, I stepped on it. It was completely squished, and than I managed to round it up a bit... is this going to affect the wires in the tubing? I would hate to have to call my DME and have them to send me a new one..

I have crushed mine in a couple of small places - just rounded it up again, and did not seem to affect the operation at all - if you have insurance, you might be able to just call and have them send you another one - I my insurance, which pretty follows along with medical lets you get a new hose every 3 months - I would guess the issue would be if you stepped on it every day, eventually the wires would break - and then it would not work, so just keep it up off the floor.

Now you know why it is wise to use a hose system that goes "up" not down . There has been lots of discussion on how to keep your hose off the floor...even lots of pictures..do a search and you will find a system that is good for you.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.
