Hi,
I'd like to learn to start AutoIQ on my PRS1 Pro. I've had the machine for 10 days and from the little that I know I'm getting good numbers. My pressure is set at 14, but I haven't had a sleep study since '04. My old machine was a ResMed S6 (a brick) and I'm finally able to see some numbers. Not sure if the pressure should be lowered, since I've lost a lot of weight (100lbs), and it feels like a lot of air at times. Rather than another sleep study I'm hoping AutoIQ can give me an idea. I'd like to know how to start and monitor for a few days to see what the system says. Here's a shot of the numbers.

Just so that everyone knows, my insurance did purchase the machine outright, and I paid my co-pay so I own it outright. Or if possible send me a private message, I would like to try AutoIQ ..

First step, go to
here and get the provider manual for your CPAP.
Fair warning: If you tinker with your settings and get the pressure wrong, your apnea and all its harmful effects can come back.
Don't use up all your 30 days of APAP at once.

Personally, I'd trade it in for a real auto machine.

You'll have to go into the clinician's menu - from setup press and hold the knob and the ramp button until the screen changes. Then go to setup, mode - change to autoIQ;. then you'll have to decide minimum number of days to find a pressure. I set mine to 3 which is the lowest. It acutally used 4 days but I changed the settings after the first night. Then set your low pressure and high pressure. I had been on 7 so I set mine at 5 and 9. My AHI went up the first night so I changed it to 6 and 10. Then you have the option of how to determine what your pressure should be. I left it on 90%. It also lets you change from c-flex to a-flex. Little difference but I changed mine. After the 4th night it automatically changed to auttocheck at my 90% pressure.

A non issue. There is a way to get them back. Not advisable if DME and/or insurance is watching compliance though.
It can essentially be used in APAP mode for the life of the machine with a little reset of the therapy session data to zero.
Once a month and it is an APAP for as long as it is wanted. Need to make sure that software has the data though.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Thanks Tigrpal, that's exactly the info I was looking for. I'll try the setup once I return from work and then set it up for a few days and see how it goes.
