I have an s9 Autoset. I went to bed at around 3am last night and woke up a little after noon today. I used my machine the whole night. When I woke up, the screen on the machine said I had only used the machine for 0.1 hour last night. I figured that was because it was after noon and so it was only looking at the little time that was after noon. However, when I tried to import my data into SleepyHead or into ResScan, it couldn't find any new data. I looked on the actual SD card, and the last data logs were from yesterday morning. There is no data from last night on the card at all. When I look at the info screen on the machine, it now says that I have 14 days of usage out of the last 15, even though I really used it for all 15 days. And the total number of hours used only increased by 0.1 hours from what it was yesterday.
I've tried unplugging the machine, waiting a minute, then plugging it back in, and I've tried a new CD card. Neither one helped- there is just absolutely no data from last night. The machine just really thinks I didn't use it at all last night, even though I was using it all night.
Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do?

If the S9 works like the S8, then the CPAP wipes out the previous nights data at noon...you must retrieve the data before noon.

Just to clarify:LSAT wrote:If the S9 works like the S8, then the CPAP wipes out the previous nights data at noon...you must retrieve the data before noon.
It's only the machine's LCD one-day data that is reset to 0 at noon local time each day. The data is all still there---both in the machine's LCD long term data (7 day, one, three, and six month averages, and one year averages). It is also still on the SD card. Hence if you download the data into ResScan or SleepyHead you'll be able to see the particular overnight data for the night.

Re: S9 Autoset has no data from last night
Well, the data from last night (Saturday) recorded fine, so I'm not sure what went wrong on Friday night except that I slept past noon. I understand that the LCD screen resets at noon, but I don't get why sleeping past noon would cause the machine to report that I hadn't used it at all on Friday night. I think I will set the internal clock back several hours so that it won't happen again.

Asking for clarification here: Was it just the machine's LCD that had no data? Or did the software on a computer also say there was no data for Friday night?myconoclast wrote:Well, the data from last night (Saturday) recorded fine, so I'm not sure what went wrong on Friday night except that I slept past noon. You see the thing about the machine's LCD data is that it resets everything to 0 right at noon. So if you slept a bit past noon, as far as the machine was concerned, the only data to show you was the stuff recorded after noon on Saturday. And since you didn't sleep very long after noon, there probably wasn't any data to actually show you. The Friday night data is still there---on the SD card and in the long term averages on the machine. Download the data into SleepyHead or ResScan and you should see all the data.
Be aware that resetting the clock will then make all the data you download into ResScan or SleepyHead have the wrong time stamps. It could be you can live this this. But you need to be aware that ResScan and SleepyHead use the time stamps from the machine when presenting the data visually. Unless you often sleep well past noon, I'd suggest resetting the clock by just one hour.I think I will set the internal clock back several hours so that it won't happen again.

Re: S9 Autoset has no data from last night
There was absolutely no data for Friday night on my SD card. I tried in both Sleepyhead and ResScan. When I looked at the actual contents of the card yesterday afternoon, there were no files with a time stamp later than Friday morning. I tried putting a new SD card in the machine, and then imported the summary data into a test profile- there was no summary data or even compliance data for Friday night. As far as the machine is concerned, I didn't use my machine at all on Friday night. The LCD now displays that I've used it for 15 of the last 16 days, even though I've used it for all 16 days.Asking for clarification here: Was it just the machine's LCD that had no data? It's not a huge deal, other than the fact that I am still needing to show compliance to the insurance company, and I do often sleep past noon on the weekends.

If it happens again, you might try rebooting the S9 by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If it becomes a recurring, but intermittent problem you should contact the DME sooner rather than later.myconoclast wrote: There was absolutely no data for Friday night on my SD card.
