ResMed S9 not writing detail data to SD

Post by whaisler » Tue Jun 19, 2012 8:31 pm

I am recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and am new to this forum. I am using an ResMed S9 Escape Auto for past 20 days. I installed SleepyHead as well as ResScan software, and wanted to see the detailed data. However, I see that the DATALOG folder on the S9 SD card is empty. I have read about the types of files that should be there, but I don't see any data at all in the folder. I have made sure the SD card is unlocked. Any ideas of what is wrong here, or what I need to do to fix the issue with detail data not being written to the SD card.

The S9 Escape doesn't gather any data for SleepyHead to read other than how many hours you use it.
There is no data to show you.

Might want to read this..http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/

OK, thanks. Looks like I should try to get my insurance to pay for an S9 Autoset?! Is the S9 Autoset functionally the same (or better) compared to the Escape Auto, or is the only difference the data logging?

The S9 Autoset can be used in APAP mode with auto adjusting pressures and also in straight cpap mode. So 2 machines in 1.

The S9 Escape is just a straight cpap machine and I do think it lacked a couple of other features the Elite or Autoset does offer.
SmartStart/Stop was one and mask fit feature was another. Not huge differences but...

You can compare here.

The Escape is a good machine as far as therapy giving goes. Just no way to measure any effectiveness and no way to measure any problems...like leaks. If leaks aren't under control...makes it difficult to trouble shoot for anything else...if you don't feel the "miracle" and wonder why you don't.
