I have been having an issue the last several days - of taking my mask off when I am sleeping - I don't know why - but right about 2 hours after I go to bed, get to sleep - my mask comes off - till morning when I wake up, only to find my mask laying on the bed beside me - which is an issue I need to figure out how to keep it on - I am still in the complaince stage with me insurance, and only using it two hours a night for the last several night is not helping things with that - so I am having to lay down in the afternoon with it - just to try and get some extra time - and keep my average up their to over 4 hours - and then they are happy.
I am using a FFM, does anyone have any secrets to make my keep the darn thing on during the night? It is comfortable, no leaks - no issues, so no reason for me not to be able to wear it all night long like I have been for the last several weeks.

Re: taking mask off
Take a little bit of tape and tape the outer area of the mask to a couple places on your face so that hopefully when you remove the mask in your sleep the discomfort from the pulling of the tape off the skin will wake you up so that you can stop what you are doing.
Or some people wear mittens to bed...yuck.. right now in the summer heat.
Or try a chin strap loosely over the head gear to make it a bit harder to remove the mask.
Or something like those things motorcycle riders wear under their helmets...I forget what they are called.
Anything to wear that allows comfort and yet puts up a barrier so that removal while asleep is made more difficult.
What you are doing is common. I still do it on a rare occasion and have no memory of it. Obviously presents a serious problem when we are in the compliance stage and it isn't good for therapy to sleep without the machine and bad habits are easy to make and difficult to break..so do whatever you can to make it more difficult for your hands to remove the mask and not wake you up. Eventually the brain learns it is okay to have the alien mask stuck on your face but it is very common for people to remove the mask and not realize what they are doing. The brain just doesn't accept the mask yet as something to see and use every night.
