YIKES!! Sleep on your side until Tuesday? Hope you can get it repaired locally and have benefit of a loaner.

Dan,

May be a long shot, but have you changed/cleaned the filters on your machine lately? Mine has a washable grey foam type outer filter and also a disposable fine white inner filter. Maybe if you haven't changed them in a while the flow is diminished and the machine is giving that message. Also, have you tried unplugging the machine and then plugging it back in to re-boot it? Give it a try if you haven't.

I hope you can figure it out...Good luck to you!

John

Very sorry to hear that.

I was talking about such unexpected cases like this one when I started the thread about "plan B". I do hope you can find a solution.
I observed that I sleep a BIT better with nasal strips and nasal drops to avoid nose congestion. Others suggested to sleep in an elevated position.
Wish you still can find something that works

2B may have the right suggestion ...

I found this single post on another forum -
I have a new M series and have had some problems with it. I saw this post early on and read it but didn't think anything of it since my humidifier seemed to work fine and the numbers didn't include mine.

I have had problems where my machine will shut off if I lift the mask to adjust it or take the mask off. The machine is not set to shut off when I remove the mask. Once this happens I have trouble restarting the machine with the lights flickering and one time the readout said service needed. The only remedy is to unplug and replug the unit into the power outlet

I have noticed that the plug going from the humidifier to the wall is warm.

I will be discussing this with my DME tomorrow.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

normally the only fix for the service message is repaired by respironics but by all means do unplug it. you also might try looking on craigslist for a replacement you might could get it before tue

Thanks for the suggestions. I unplugged, cleaned filter. Nothing worked, however, I removed the humidifier and blew back into the machine and it statrted working. Hope it works until Tuesday. The folks on this site continue to be so helpful. Too late for plan B - present. Surely have to look into another machine for stby....

I do recall when the M series first came out that many had problems with the attached humidifier. I ended up buying myself an M series but ordered it without the humidifier. If it turns out that your HH is the problem, you can get yourself a separate stand-alone HH like the F&P HC-150 ... that's how I use mine and I have never had a problem.

Best of luck.
