profile picture not showing in messaage list?

When I first started posting, my profile picture would show on the page with all the subject lines, for any topic I started. It still does this when I view the webpage on my ipod touch. But now it doesn't on my desktop. It shows the photo next to my posts once I click on the topic. But that's it. I have rebooted my computer. No change. Any idea why? I like being able to find my topics easily.

I don't see the cat on the main forum page.
I see pretty much everyone else's avatar though.
I do see your cat within a thread though.
I tried a couple of settings changes to see if I could duplicate the problem but I cannot.

I'm thinking it must be something in my computer since I still see it on my iPod touch. The weird thing is that I see everybody else's photo in the main page. Just not my own. And I used to.

Sometimes I am in a hurry and want to see if there replies to a certain topic. It is faster to scroll down and look for my cat's photo.

I've tried changing my avatar before, but unsuccessfully.
I think I need to compress the image.
Maybe your kitty has too many bits to appear on the board index.

It's weird because it used to be there. And it sounds like everybody else can see it. And I do see it with my ipod touch. Just not my regular computer. There must be a setting or something. I tried rebooting the computer to see if was an error within the program.

Thanks for the compliments about my kitty. She is a Ragdoll with a slightly kinked tail. I actually took her to cat shows for 2 years as a household pet, and now she goes as exhibition only. People get to pet her, and I have a cat in the hotel room (2 actually). Traveling is much more fun when they go too. I sleep better with them around. And they don't mind my mask. They both gave it a good sniff when it was on me and the machine running. I guess they decided it wasn't hurting me.

Now within this thread...yes I see it but on the main page big blank spot like you had no avatar.

1 year old laptop with Win 7 64 bit and no problems seeing all the other avatars on the main forum page. So not everyone sees it. Unsure why some do and some don't though. So nothing to offer except a shrug. So sorry.

It shows, in the message list, on some of my computers and not on others. I don' t see any correlation between e.g. age and power of the computer and whether it shows, so I suspect it relates to browser history.

Wonder if it is related to my recent cleaning out of my browser history (along with a lot of other stuff) when we had the log in problem after the server change? I don't remember not seeing it before but that doesn't mean anything because I wouldn't have though anything about it one way or the other and I only notice it now that OP brought it up. It might have been there prior to the cleaning I did. I just don't remember one way or another.

I don't see your avatar on the main page either on my MacBookPro when in Safari, nor in FireFox.

Only alongside your posts.

Another oddity I have noticed lately in cpaptalk is one poster's current avatar shows up alongside her posts, but a previous avatar she used to use shows up on the main page - in the same thread on the same night!

I deleted my avatar and then uploaded it again. I suspect it has something to do with the server change. Although I have no idea why it would show in the messages and not the main list. It seems to be working again now.
