Moustache/Mask Follow up

Post by GregDoering » Sun May 20, 2012 8:04 pm

My experience using the Comfort Classic wih my moustache created a problem for me. The wind whistling out from under my moustache would wake me at all hours of the night. The only solution was to tighten the mask to the place it wouldn't leak, subsequently causing my face to hurt. I invented a device to solve my problem that works great! During the years I was out on my own quest I am sure other solutions have developed. Maybe if there were a trade show for CPAP stuff I could experience those first hand; but in the mean time all I have is my ingenuity. I was turned down by Philips, and 3M won't even look at an invention unless it has an awarded full patent.
So here I am. Each device takes me about 45 minutes to manufacture, and lasts about 5 uses or so. I can't tolerate sleeping w/o my invention. I would love to find someone as nuts as I am and run with this thing. However; after many, many raised eyebrows; it's not looking good. It feels like I have solved my own personal problem which doesn't exist for the masses? If anyone wants to view my device they can look at InventSparks.com; search "Oris Perfect Seal". I am at the point where even if someone steals the invention and manufactures it; I would be happy to buy it. Although I know it wouldn't be as good as mine
Appreciate any feedback; Thanks, Greg.

Good luck to you on your quest. My mustache is another reason why I use a full face mask.

I have the same problem in finding a perfect fitting mask as I have a moustache and goatee. I have tried a nasal mask and a full face mask but with lots of leaks. I just received a hybrid and going to test it this week.
