S9 Autoset Humidity setting

Post by stantheman » Wed May 16, 2012 1:24 pm

I received my s9 autoset and have used it for 2 nights now. It comes set at 80 degrees. The first night It dryed my nose out and this morning it bled some so which way do I go to make more moisture higher or lower temperature?

Are you using climate line hose? If so try lowering the temp. 80 is tooo hot for me. When using the climate line hose and the climate set to auto...you get 80 % humidity at whatever temp you set it at.

. . . but that's only if you're in automatic mode on the humidifier. You can set the temperature independenly in Manual mode and that can generate problems. I much prefer automatic mode with the temperature set at 76-78 degrees. The machine will automatically maintain that temperature and vary the temperature of the reservoir to produce a stream of air with 80% relative humidity at the temperature selected. But it does that only when you select the automatic mode for the humidifier.

Humidity is a very individual thing. You will have to experiment and see what works for you. I used a climateline over the winter but went back to my slimline with the humidifier turned off this spring. The humidifier congests me. For others, just the opposite.

I know someone is confused...and I expect its me.

My s9 auto has 3 settings "Auto/Manual/Patient" Where the the last two look to be the same.
With the 1st one, I can only pick a temperature, on the last two I can pick humidity (0->5?) and temp.

So why 2 options that look the same? What is the difference?
