Comfortable full face masks?

Post by Elsh » Mon May 14, 2012 10:35 am

I use the Swift™ FX For Her Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Headgear. I've been a CPAP user since June of 2011. I have never really adjusted. If I fall asleep with it on, I take it off in my sleep within 1 hour. But anyway, I keep trying to use it despite this. My problem now is that it's spring, and I usually have allergies in fall and winter, but this time it's spring... I am too congested to use this mask most nights! I'm thinking I may need to go through my doctor or through Lincare to get a full face mask, but I don't know which ones are good/most comfortable. Does anyone who uses a full face mask recommend theirs?

ResMed Quattro FX for her is good. I have used it 5 nights and it works well. Just click on my equipment link and it will tell you more.

I find the Respironics Comforgel full face and the Respironics FullLife masks quite comfy.
A lot depends on your facial anatomy.
Faces have more variation than feet; but shoes come in more sizes than masks.
Trial and error is usually the only route.
If you can take advantage of the 30-day mask return policy, you should be able to find a 'keeper'.
---Unless Lincare in your location lives up (down) to its reputation in other places.

ditto on the quattro fx. size is very important. full face mask sizes are different mfgr to mfgr and mask to mask within mfgr, just like womens clothing. research on line sizing guides for each mask you're interested in and you'll know way more than the one size fits all dme person.

I'm liking the quattro FX
Be sure to watch the mfgr video on fitting that mask and I would definitely recommend a padacheek liner (padacheek.com)
It has to be comfortable for YOU....
I find the quattro FX much better than the ultra mirage which was better than the mirage for me.....you have to try and see what works for you.
